Belongs in this discussion. Everyone should be on board with making voting easy and secure. Make vote by mail easily accessible - I get a card in the mail around a month before every Election Day reminding me where I vote, and this year for the first time, where I can vote early. I see no reason why that couldn't include a mail-in ballot.

Felon voter rights is more about criminal justice. Loss of civil rights is a part of the consequences meted out by due process. Due process may be in need of an overhaul in many places, but that's a criminal justice issue. I'm not opposed to restoration of voting rights, but maybe not automatically, but in any event, including it in a general discussion about voting rights sucks all the life out of low hanging fruit. Like automatic receipt of mail in ballots. Pretty good example of that in the extended sub thread below. It's an unnecessary complication of an issue that shouldn't be all that controversial.
