I'm willing to accept the tech-sucks explanation

Because the lesson we should be learning is not necessarily "the DNC rigs its results." It's, "stop teching up elections." I have news for the country: It's totally OK if we have to wait a day or two for results because we had to count the ballots by hand. It's totally OK if our voting machines aren't touchscreen and connected and in the cloud and all that crap. In fact, it's better if not. Why our country insists on making elections more and more hackable by the day is baffling. You know what can't be hacked by Russians, Ukrainians, Chinese, or trolls in general? Paper.
