Total ad spend over three years was less than a day of what Bloomberg
spends as well, to put it in some proportion. I think it's fair to say they preferred Trump, and would take Trump or Bernie this go round, but the primary purpose was to amplify division and sow mistrust in the election process rather than sway voters; they would have spent more and ran different content if that was the case. In that sense getting caught and how that would play out might have been the big aspect of this social media strategy.
