Hard for me to get a sense of the national coverage his speeches and pressers are getting because I’m in NY, but I guess he’s getting a lot of nationwide play. His consistency, clarity, calmness (but urgency), discipline, and organization in communicating with the public is a wonderful counterpoint to the WH. Which has many voices, the worst of which is the president’s.

Hard to know for sure how well the Cuomo admin is doing in actually managing the crisis in NY, which is currently the worst in the country (although New Orleans appears to be in real trouble). People are judging him based entirely on his messaging, which has been outstanding. Who knows, in a year like this, maybe he’ll wind up being drafted to top the dem ticket in November, but that also might be a bad time to leave a void in NY.
