I've been a value investor for a long time (including professionally)


but would advise you to be cautious, for a couple of reasons:

1) Paraphrasing Buffett: If a great management is in a difficult industry, the difficult industry wins
2) While the bailout may materialize, the terms are uncertain. No guarantee that a significant part of the value of any surviving entity will go to equity holders
