It makes me sick to my stomach that medical treatments are political

Footballs. But your post is bullshit. Trump is the reason it’s politicized. He isn’t a doctor. He touts it as a treatment because he, like all of us, wants things to go back to the way they were. He wants a magic bullet. But there isn’t one, and his job is to help get resources in place and encourage, if not mandate, the painful, inconvenient steps we need to take to protect our strained health care system. His job is not to prescribe medications. Hell, the other day a reporter asked Fauci for a medical opinion, and Trump stepped in and shut him down before Fauci could answer.

Fauci, not Trump, was the only guy on that stage who should answer. It pisses me off when governors then step in and mandate certain things with this drug, seemingly as a counter to Trump’s completely inappropriate touting of it, so then everybody is doubling down on inappropriate comments on drug prescriptions.

Trump made this situation what it is with his bullshit, even if many dems are no better. Doctors with knowledge of their specific patients should be weighing risks and possible benefits and deciding on treatments. Period. Trump should shut the fuck up and keep his eye on the things a president should be doing (and governors should do the same). Give HC workers the support they need to do their jobs, and then shut up and let them do their jobs.
