and it sucks...
It was great until last week because they blocked off the causeway coming in, so it was just locals for the most part. But now, all access points are blocked.
You could likely sneak in on someone's property, but for me, it's not worth it. So, now it's mostly just residents who are beachfront (which are few since most have monetized their property and don't live there) and those that sneak through. What is kind of cool is the wildlife. I wouldn't have believed it...but every animal from the Ark has been coming out. We've had deer playing in the water, otters, foxes, and more gators sighted in the water/beach. Without the people, they've come out of the woodwork
we're right on a tidal creek, so we can at least kayak, SUP, etc. We also have a nice sized yard for folly beach (half acre), so we're a bit spoiled. We've played soccer, cornhole, fished, and camped outside. But it's still no picnic with three kids aged 6-10.
