Charged with a crime. Both are allegations that will and should be scrutinized. The context for Kavanaugh was a rushed confirmation hearing where vetting this sort of thing is the Senate’s job, and they short circuited the whole thing. Even directed the FBI not to investigate a second allegation, then just confirmed him on a party line vote. Not to mention the biggest issue for him was the way he behaved in his hearing and the fact that HE lied REPEATEDLY about even trivial stuff to cover his ass and acted shady as all hell. Oh, and there was nothing to indicate Forde was being untruthful or had an ulterior motive. If you don’t believe her, it was either because you’re a Republican and chose not to or just found her to be an unreliable narrator given the time frame and the lack of specific corroborating evidence that put the three of them in the same room. Few people came away from her hearing thinking she made the whole thing up and her behavior since (she’s basically withdrawn and back to being a private introvert) reinforces that any such theory makes no sense.

This will be vetted as it should. It’s already falling apart just with a tad of scrutiny. There are almost as many red flags here as there were with Jackie Coakley or Julie Swetnick. And very little reason to believe Biden would do this. But I expect you guys will be going the “SOMETHING HAPPENED” route like good little Trumpanzees all teh way to November
