Nobody believes this helps him, his party, our economy, or our nation

Trump could be just as wretchedly selfish, but if he also had intelligence and cunning those would refrain him from tweeting this nonsense. He'd be focused on the economy, which is his best chance for reelection. But he's not intelligent and cunning. He's stupid, impulsive and completely devoid of decency or morals.

So while the nation is enduring an existential crisis, on Memorial Day weekend, our leader spends more time spreading a false and hurtful conspiracy theory against a minor journalist than on how we navigate this crisis. And he does this with the support of 95% of Republicans.
