Is his question really invalid?

The virus doesn’t care if the people it infects are at a pool party, in church, protesting shutdowns with their assault rifles, or protesting a terrible example of police brutality.

We may have more respect for their motives, but gatherings to protest something worth protesting provide the same opportunities to spread the virus as drunken pool parties.
