with private businesses (NFL) asking Kaepernick to stop. It was well within their rights. However, people went further. They called him unpatriotic and a SOB. For decades, sports has always been on the forefront of social issues. This was never about politics as some people wanted you to believe. The message was always about having a voice to social injustice through a peaceful protest.

Since Rodney King, many people wanted a dialog. It's been 30 years and people still don't want to talk about it.
