This is why I think Trump stubbornness on not wear mask will cost him

To me, it was something with no down side for him to do. If mask has no effect, would "showing weakness" by wearing mask will really cost his supporter to vote for Biden? He could also just blame medical professional for bad information. But if mask does help slow the spread, and current evidence seems like it does, by not wearing mask and in a way encourage his supporters not to wear mask will cause the Covid to continue simmer over the summer and dash any chance of economic normalcy by election date. I think any more "normal" president given this crisis at election year could probably easily win an reelection. Trump really let an opportunity pass away here due to his inability to be flexible and only know one mode of campaigning.
