Well, you know intellectually even if you weren't around then how much

upheaval there was in the 1960's. Honestly, people were saying pretty much the same things then. The documentary we watched recently about the Buckley v. Vidal debates pretty much covered the same topics, the rhetoric from people like Wallace and Nixon presaged Donald Trump perfectly, violence like the Detroit riots, the Kent State massacre, assassinations of JFK, RFK, and MLK....I'd say that time is was a bit more chaotic.

Now having said that, 2020 is one of those years that might be pivotal. I'm generally optimistic so I think there is enormous opportunity right now for fundamental change. People burning elks (weird) and pulling down statues (pointed) is part of it, but also a lot of it is peaceful. But it isn't going away.
