Nah, that's mostly media hype for clicks.

I was interested enough in the subject to download the online content samples from the House investigation around the time it came out. I don't believe any of it had a measurable influence on Americans, and I highly doubt subsequent Russian or Chinese stuff has done much on its own. Yes its bad they do that, but no can point to any particular instances of it having an impact. 99% of the really divisive shit online is fomented by American journo-pundits and trolls.
