I would think those votes are more than up for grabs. It's the fact


that Donald Trump is the leader of today's Republican Party that caused them to leave. Can't imagine them leaving the party because of Trump, but then voting for Trump.

I stopped identifying as a republican during Bush's presidency. I've been registered as an 'independent' since the early 00's. I registered as a Democrat recently (mostly to vote in the primary, although I ended up changing my registration too late). Hopefully the Mitt Romney wing of the republican party can take back the party. Until then, I'll probably remain registered as a democrat... even though I hate the growing anti-business, anti-success wing of the party.
