who lean right economically who are sick of Trump and his sychophants. They are sick and tired of the lies, bullshit, and division. How do I know ... because that's me and a lot of people who work in NYC finance. Though we're socially progressive, we tend to vote right due to economic policies.

We're probably better labeled as moderates because of our progressive social views ... but make no mistake, we are capitalists. So when Trump supporters claim the Biden movement is some kind "socialist" uprising, they are out of touch with reality. It's going to take a long time for the GOP to recover from this as long as there is no voter apathy.

Most Trump supporters aren't capitalists. They've been ignored by both parties for the last 20 years. They fear being left behind in the new economy. They are not the most educated, but hard working nonetheless. They feel disenfranchised by a quickly changing America. They fear the unknown. Unfortunately, a con artist figured a way to play off those fears. That is mostly Trump's base ... minus the actual bigots.

Van Jones put it best ... to unite the country again, we need to do a better job reaching out to the parts of America who feel disenfranchised. Parts of the population where both the Democrats and Republicans ignored for decades. That can only start with a new leader. He/she needs to reach out to Trump's base.
