That’s my concern - how does one store a firearm in a secure location in


his home and yet have it readily available to use for protection in a timely manner? I assume it must be loaded and easily accessible.

Also, my friends who own guns for self-protection recommend a 12-gauge shotgun for the home. They advise that the wider blast allows for a larger margin of error. Seems like a weapon that size further complicates the storing and accessibility issue.
