I saw an interview with Clyburn, and he seemed to give Joe


“Permission” to not use race as a litmus test. I get why people like the idea of a black woman just because she’s a black woman, but it is distasteful to me. Racial equality means not bucketing people by race.

I like the idea of a governor, and one who is less well known and has not generally been in the national fray.
