Biden’s incapacity is only one argument. A larger issue is his

shape-shifting moves to the far left, be it playing identity politics with his VP selection, his Hyde Amendment position change, his walking away from his crime legislation, his economically devastating energy plan, his school reopening plan packed with partisan policies unrelated to the pandemic, his obvious lack of support for law enforcement or his $3.7 trillion tax proposals destined to further increase this country’s debt-to-GDP, to name a few examples.

A significant portion of Democrats still consider themselves moderate (e.g. approx. 1/3 are pro-life). This is why their enthusiasm for Biden remains low and he has become a weaker candidate than even Hillary Clinton.
