a terrible position to be in right now given the crazy amount of uncertainty. I stayed invested during the April/May sell-off, but started taking some money off the table in June - August. I'm not quite 50% cash, but I have more in cash than I've ever had (and by "cash"... it's mostly very short duration bonds, money market, etc... so limited yield, but not cash in bank ZERO yield). I'm (hopefully) less than 5 years away from retirement though.
If we have another sell off, I'll start deploying some cash again.
