From the mocking of masks and turning masks into a political issue, to encouraging his supporters to "liberate their states" as local authorities were working to get the spread under control back in the spring, to repeatedly downplaying the seriousness of the virus and comparing it to the flu causing uninformed people to not want to take precautions which has furthered the spread, to actually holding super spreader events himself which have so far been linked to 30K cases and 700 deaths.

Trump is not to blame for the coronavirus. And to a certain extent, the recent resurgence was inevitable also as we're seeing occur in Europe. But I have no doubt we are far worse off as a nation with our covid situation specifically because of who is president.

Prior to covid, Trump was just a source of embarrassment for me, but one that could be easily ignored. But when things got tough and we needed the president to actually do his job, the downside of having a reality star moron became painfully clear. He's been worse than a disaster the last 8 months.
