Not a 'hater', but i can tell you where he lost some votes. Covid..

..obviously, but there are layers upon layers of culpability for that. Even so, he is at the "top" and so, like the head coach, gets lions share of the blame, rightly or wrongly.

Other than that, he didn't carry through on the meat of the promises that got him elected. The people that carried him in 2020, contrary to liberal media "narrative", were not gun-toting racist hick hayseeds from the south and heartland. They were, rather, the out of work, suffering, and, from their perspective, neglected and forgotten blue collar element in the rust belt. I have deep family roots there, and am close friends with a political strategist who has worked for multiple administrations on both sides of the aisle (Trump turned him down) and who himself comes from blue collar and second generation immigrant roots. There was and is a deep disaffection amongst that demographic. Trump made promises to them he didn't keep.. whether or not it was smart to believe he could. The optics of him continually cheering new stock market highs, and obviously cozying up to Wall Street and big corporations (as well as, many believe, waffling and going soft on China-- again whether or not you think that's a good idea) alienated a LOT of those voters. Some still voted for him, but some did not... and his margin in those states was not large enough to begin with.

There are many others, and I think that this is a fair assessment, who hold him accountable for our continued military involvement overseas. He made a lot of promises in this regard, and took some token steps, but, at the end of the day, we are still heavily engaged and our people continue to die on foreign soil.

For my part, I have a BIG problem with the endless financial market interference and bullying/enabling of the Fed. That's not something that's particularly unique to Trump... every politician out there these days seems to be a free money, deficit spending, MMT ghouls... but he has taken it to a new level, IMO.

So, while i don't hate him, I have a raft of problems with him and his administration.

Hate the sin, not the sinner.
