I said all along if Trump has to lose, best scenario for GOP was for it to
be to Biden (vs others in primaries at the time I said it). Nikki and others have to be ecstatic right about now. Virtually no way he runs in '24, 4 yrs of track record, and it's very difficult to win a "3rd term", let alone one after 8 yrs of Trump.
I would add the qualifier that if divided gov't actually leads to Biden (and other Dems) telling the extreme wing to pound sand, actually work across the aisle to solve problems, and governs like an actual "moderate", then it's a different ballgame. In that case, if Joe does survive and run again, or the Dems put up someone in that same mold (be it Kamala shifting to the political winds or otherwise), Dems could easily win in '24. Sure, that might be a bit delusional for me to think that could happen, but that would be great for the country IMO, so I would be good waiting until '28 or later in that scenario.
