No, nobody actually said that. That's a common colloquialism for how people get implicitly threatened without being explicitly threatened. It's like a joke in every mobster movie ever made. Do you not know this?

I was drawing a parallel between that and what happened here. Obviously, no one threatened to kill these people or break their kneecaps, especially publicly. We live in an age of cancel culture (by the left against the right), and what the Lincoln Project, Slate, WaPo, etc., are doing is implicitly threatening anyone involved with Trump, specifically his lawyers in this case. AOC has done the same. It's what Antifa did to Tucker Carlson's home and family a couple of years ago. It's a fucking disgrace.

By publicizing the lawyers names, they also brought on the threat of business disruption and financial consequences and, given the unpunished left-wing violence on display around the country these days, even worse into the equation. That's why Twitter banned them.

There is literally no other reason why the LP would have done this other than as a veiled threat, and you know this because you can't come up with one. Very few law firms are going to have the balls to continue representing a client under these circumstances, and that was the point.
