Just because he entered his name on the transfer portal, does that automatically take him off the team? Could he have entered his name in the portal, but stayed on? Obviously you might not want to keep him on, but you could, right? And he might want to quit, but he doesn't necessarily have to, right? (I keep hearing from Bronco and others what a high character guy he is; it is conceivable to me that he could play out the season to everyone's satisfaction including his own, despite being on the portal, that is if that is a thing that can, within the rules, be done.)

I think I read that just because a guy is on the portal doesn't mean he can't come back to his current school. For sure I read that he can take his name off the portal.
