There's a reason that several formed interstate compacts to try to address it, but they all got cash-strapped quickly. Trump's expectation that they go it alone (and then undermining them) would be analogous to North Korea nuking Seattle and Trump saying, "The governor out there has handled it very badly."

There's also a reason our tax dollars go to the CDC and NIH and other organizations; for our mutual protection and security.
