I can’t speak for the entire left leaning Soapbox but I’d say yes

New York was the epicenter of the early Covid crisis and as someone who used to reside there, I followed everything incredibly closely. Cuomo’s strengths were communicating with the residents of New York. His glaring weaknesses were compounding errors regarding initial actions to address the outbreak and his relationship with de Blasio (which are of course related).

You’ve got a flawed politician who has a big personality and name recognition who also likes to spar with trump. He’s obviously going to get a lot of coverage and a lot of supporters. I think it’s inaccurate to say that he’s someone who gets a pass with the media and democrats. More is coming out about this story now because this shit takes time to investigate. The news cycles are also absolutely packed with more topics requiring immediate attention. This was likely a coverup but it wasn’t for some Dem/msm loyalty to Cuomo.
