That makes sense

I was wondering how they could afford to keep so much inventory of unsold houses, but if they're writing off the costs associated with delays in selling then things start to add up. The houses do sell in the long run thus far, but each new development is driving down prices as they compete with each other. We're looking at a huge flood to the market coming up. I'm curious how that will work out.

Separately, if I were rewriting the tax laws I don't think I would be so keen to let them write this kind of stuff off. It's not clear why we should be subsidizing their flooding the market with new homes.
