Like plenty of issues, I don't think drug legalization can ever be some

straight data analysis -- and I'm not just talking marijuana -- everything from other recreational drugs like LSD to plenty of today's legal drugs like adderral. You can work to measure things like "how many more accidents or health issues may be directlly related -- or not" or "how much money do we spend on enforcement", but that should always be just part of the analysis. There are and frankly I think should be other aspects of analysis that are tough to measure and are paternalistic over which people will likely disagree because absolute certainty in measurement will never be easy -- but I still think they are factors that should matter in society. Just one (of several) reasons I can never be a legit libertarian.
