I think what you will see is something similar to last year.


You won't have to pay until June 15. No penalty and interest up to that point. So, if you are deficient on tax up to that point, I don't think there will be any extra penalties or interest for the extended date. Of course, if you go past the extended deadline, the penalties and interest will change.

But to be honest, I don't know. The smart thing for them to do is to just keep the date April 15, and make everyone pay at extension time.
