...missed our back-and-forths here. A few comments:

-- The DOJ IG did not conclude that and, in fact, referred both McCabe and Comey for prosecution (not to mention firing and demoting other senior FBI/DOJ officials for their conduct during the Russian Hoax investigation). Although not FBI-related, the head of security for the vaunted Senate IC was also busted for leaking confidential info the media. Regardless, even if what you allege were true, it would not change the fact that the FBI/DOJ leaked constantly to the media, but none of the leaked insinuations about Trump malfeasance ever came to fruition, as the Russia Collusion Hoax was just that. Whether the same will prove true wrt to Gaetz remains to be seen.

-- When I say media, I'm referring to the 95% or so of the national political media outlets that are controlled by and run for the benefit of the left/Dems. That would exclude Fox, of course, whose news org (not opinion) is largely establishment, but not left-wing.

-- Your comment about the media being critical of Cuomo -- especially in contrast to Trump -- is laughable. I'm not wasting time on that. He was held up as a hero, given a book deal and won awards for his conduct. Those are facts.

-- Not that I've paid much attention to them, but the me-too allegations against Trump and Cuomo are entirely different, as I understand them. Trump's accusers were not subordinates of his, nor did he hold any power over them. Further, many of them have already been litigated and/or failed to be litigated and remain simply baseless accusations against a multi-billionaire. The issue with harrassment is not that some guy made a bad pass at a woman (e.g., Trump's alleged situation) -- that has always happened and always will. The issue with harrassment is when a man in a senior position (e.g., governor) uses his position of power either to coerce a relationship and/or damage the career prospects of a subordinate who refuses one. That's the Cuomo situation (and the Bill Clinton situation, BTW).

-- I haven't treated Trump as a hero and particularly not as a hero regarding the (unproven) allegations against him regarding women. That's what's so laughable about the Cuomo situation. He's arguably the worst-performing politician in the world in terms of decisions he made leading directly to COVID deaths, and yet his response to COVID has been praised to the heavens. It would be one thing if Cuomo were lauded for, say, his environmental policies, but he's literally been praised as a success story on the COVID issue. It's beyond belief.

As for Trump, he's an America First, blunt object that was a necessary weapon to deploy against a government that is increasingly turning against its own citizenry. His sharp edges, lack of decorum, bull-in-a-china-shop approach, etc., were necessary traits for the task at hand. He's not an ideal President in normal times, but he or someone like him was/is exactly what is needed now, IMO.
