You know, to your credit you rarely bring up religion. But I'm going to.
Have you ever heard a little saying, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you?" This lame excuse for committing vehicular assault is just that. Lame. I can't tell you how many times driving around this town and others I've had to stop and/or turn around for pedestrians. Whether they're leaving a football game, blocking a bridge for a protest (that happened to me in the Seattle U-District one time years ago), or blockages for a marathon, or for a spontaneous block party.
Legal or illegal, I have precisely zero control over what's going on. What has never, nor would never, occur to me is to drive my car through them. What kind of evil person would do that or justify doing that, short of a direct threat? This case is a no-brainer. Capital Hill is a grid. Two cars in the video flip U-turns. I have no idea what that old codger in the white car was doing or his state of mind. But it wouldn't have been hard to avoid the situation in the first place.
