Which is the foundation upon which everything else is built in our Constitutional democracy.

I haven’t forgotten anything. I was in NYC the Saturday after Trump won in 2016, and I walked right through one of those marches up 5th Avenue to protest that trump wasn’t their president. I thought it was appalling.

But it is no analogy at all for the direct attempts by Trump and his allies to actually undermine our voting processes, which is an effort that is still continuing in Trumpublican state legislatures.

Because they are dominated by members of a cult. The supposed “auditor” in Arizona was founded by an outspoken member of the cult. It is a cult devoted to a scumbag NY real estate conman who basically specializes in bankrupting projects, and in playing a game show host, and which has only one core idea at this point - to defeat democracy.

And besides, if you were about anything other than a gotcha moment here - if you really cared about those things you are referring to in 2016, you’d be nothing but appalled at the way Trump and his cult is escalating it now. It’s not an either-or proposition - if you legitimately hated the “not my president” chants in 2016, which amounted to no official attempt to overturn an election, you’d be appalled by Trump’s escalation. He made direct appeals to try to overturn the election - nothing close to that happened in 2016. Or, well, ever in US history.
