True infrastructure spending would actually enhance productivity
and so that would be a positive. The stimulus bills that already have been passed haven't been spent...so that is more money coming into the system. There are 8.1mn open jobs...roughly equivalent to the number that lost their jobs during the pandemic....of course they aren't perfectly matched....so we will have unemployment due to "friction". But we are getting there.
There are clearly some who aren't working because of child care issues...so we need to get schools open...of course with widely available vaccines...they should be opening.
