Does the country still require lots to be of a certain size west of
Leesburg? I seem to remember that issue being contentious - you couldn't build on a lot smaller than a couple of acres (or something to that effect). Seems like a good way of stopping sprawl (and preserving some of the rural flavor as Montgomery County has done across the river...).
I don't get out that way often, but it is essentially a series of strip malls and chain restaurants from Sterling to Leesburg now (similar to 29 through Gainesville, which essentially had a McDonalds and a 711 30 years ago).
