...simply allow people to keep more of their own money. TAXES transfer money to person B by confiscating it from person A.

As for your confusion about Trump supporters and their votes, the answer is that the right doesn't play the class warfare game like the left. We want everyone's taxes lower and everyone to succeed. We want to reward success, not punish it.

Sending more money to the government is worse than setting it on fire -- the right understands this -- and has no problem trying to starve the beast (as futile as it seems).
