They seem to. We had 84% voter turnout this past year! Isn't that what we

have strived for? More rather than less participation? The state has worked to remove obstacles and it has been bipartisan.

Now, of course we aren't immune to Trumpists. The GOPer nominee for governor was the police chief of Republic, WA. That was a "force" of two, including him, until they got rid of it. This right-wing Barney Fife lost by over 550K votes, then made the Trumpian claim that it was fraud and lots of dead people, before his attorney was threatened with sanctions for bring crap with no evidence.

Our Secretary of State, also a Republican, and Republicans in the legislature basically told him to STFU. Ever since I've heard rumblings from the RWNJs that we need to get rid of mail-in voting, but it's broadly popular so it ain't happening. As for Culp, he's running for Congress, challenging Republican Dan Newhouse, a reliable conservative who had the audacity to vote to certify the election and to vote for impeachment. Should be interesting.
