Disagree about Trump. We have so much baked in party loyalty in this country, clearly no candidate would win by that much - Biden could have carried Florida, I believe if he just got the support among S FL Hispanics that Hillary enjoyed. So, even though that might not have changed the popular margin by that much, it could have changed the entire feel of the election. The Big Lie might have had far less staying power. Now, imagine if he’d done well enough with the south Texas Hispanic population to take Texas (that’s more of a Hail Mary IMO)?

It feels easy to me to see how he lost Florida. Socialism, and defund the police. Basically, if dem lefties who are not really full on socialists (there really aren’t any who are) would stop self-identifying as socialists, and if defund the police were never a thing (it absolutely should not have been), I bet Joe carries FL. So, people set priorities, and for some, even an incompetent boob is better than a pres who sounds to them like he wants to make us socialist, which they or their families fled in many cases. And few who live in urban centers want to defund the police.

Dems need to figure out how to check their emotions from doing so much repub PR heavy lifting. They actually manage to supply reasons to a whole lot of rational, and not all that partisan, voters to think dems are the greater evil. A large enough sliver to make a difference.
