Yes, if you're explaining you're losing. But it doesn't forgive those people who hear the explanations and then go "but socialism!" and ignore all the evidence in front of them. I've had this debate in my own family, where I show them all the ways that Trump is unlike any other President in our history and then they circle back to cherry pick examples of the left being bad. At some point, people have to be responsible for their own ability to evaluate the evidence in front of them. The evidence says that one side is just objectively corrupt in a way that we've never seen before and that by process of elimination there's only one party that actually can handle being in charge right now.
