No, he was not. Whether you agree or not, Trump...

...believed that the election had serious problems (and with good reason). He wasn't trying to steal anything -- he was trying to ensure that the actual winner was declared the winner, whether that be him or Biden. This is not complicated. It doesn't matter whether YOU think the election had serious problems -- HE thought it had serious problems (again, with good reason), and he had not only the right, but also the responsibility, to ask law enforcement to look into it. It would have been derelict not to.

I'm not a fan of whattabouts, and I would never use the criminal Russia Collusion hoax to justify anything, but keep in mind that the DOJ and both houses of Congress spent years looking into completely fabricated allegations of Trump-Russia collusion based on Democrat party oppo research and anonymous sourcing from foreign nationals. It's laughable to hear the same folks who supported that now say Trump had no right to ask the DOJ to look into countless examples of election malfeasance around the country following its photo-finish. Completely disingenuous.
