Stupid. Your entire first paragraph could apply to the Russian collusion investigation, which I personally did not support and was upset when the Comey firing resulted in the Special Prosecutor. But in that, you are 100% correct - whether or not you or I agree, Congress is well within its rights to investigate what it thought was wrongdoing. When the investigation was complete, there was no impeachment over it. Many dems were pissed and even felt betrayed by Mueller. But the chips fell where they did and were accepted, albeit grudgingly by some. No impeachment proceeding.

Trump had his literally 100s of days in court, and pursued all his doubts and interests beyond the point of them being exhausted. When those did not produce the result he wanted, he tried to force the DOJ to overturn the election.

That’s what this report says, not what you want it to say. And Grassley’s response disputes none of that. Just says that other people made him do it, more or less.

But, in the one accurate statement you’ve made in this thread, that does not matter. The responsibility for what both dems and repubs agree happened is Trump’s.
