Those kids still all go back to homes filled with older people,
And more compromised people. In urban areas multi-generational homes are not uncommon. The fact that we are not seeing breakthrough cases or spikes among unvaxxed is a very positive sign. And will be much more positive if it holds up for 3 or 4 more months.
I was at a cookout with my buddy and his long covid suffering 25 yr old son at the end of the summer of 2020. He’d gotten Covid the previous March and was knocked on his ass for 3 weeks. Lost his sense of taste and smell, claiming everything had the same slightly metallic unpleasant taste. Young and healthy and not overweight.
Bunch of his friends at the cookout claimed he was exaggerating about the loss of taste and smell. We watched as he reached over and picked up a whole raw onion and ate it like an apple. His friends shut up at that point. As far as I know, this problem still persists for this kid 18 mths later.
That does not happen because of flu. Neither do the heart ailments an unusually high % of younger kids suffered (including athletes who were required to get cardiac work ups before returning to their sports after infection), which only seemed to make it onto your radar when isolated cases from the Moderna vax allowed you to continue your pro-Covid soapbox campaign.
Hopefully, most of the people who might be in the unfortunate position of having to listen to you pontificate about your strange pro-Covid partisanship are able to see through it enough to look elsewhere for a reasonable discussion on the topic.
