Pretty sure I was clear in my point that the long term survival of the country and its status as a Constitutional representative republic is much more dependent on the nation's agreement that it will abide by the Constitution and it's institutions, than by policies of this or that president. Every president will generally face strong disagreement from around half the country. That is frequently true. No threat to our democracy comes from that, because we all used to agree and be bound by things like our electoral processes, and our willingness to abide and be bound by decisions of the courts. It was a response to a typically stupid Trumpie whaddabout.

If you want to cower under your bed over that, that's up to you, but I certainly never suggested that. I think you should just make a reasoned decision to stop supporting the party that is trying to sow false doubts about those institutions, but if you'd rather cower, who am I to judge?
