They've already gerrymandered the heck out of Austin, hard to see where
they can attenuate that metro area into any more pieces. I did read that they've put one of the new census-generated additional seats ENTIRELY in downtown Austin, thus taking pieces of downtown out of all the surrounding districts into which it had been split, but their problem is the Austin suburbs and exurbs are turning blue so fast they're out-running the gerrymander.
But I was talking more about statewide elections, Senator, Governor, President. Undoubtedlyt both the Texas legislature and the Texas congressional delegation are a LONG way from blue, still.
