I don’t know much about drug testing, but i know we test on animals before humans. I think we can all agree that’s okay. We test the shit out of mice. I don’t hear too many complaints about that.

Why are dogs different. I get that they’re cute and cuddly. I have multiple dogs.

But we test drugs on animals. I don’t see why testing on dogs is more abhorrent than testing on mice. Mice are bred for testing. I’m assuming these dogs were also.

Yes, it sucks.

But so does life as a farm fed animal. If you’re not a vegetarian, you probably contribute to those abhorrent conditions as well.

So I get people like PETA objecting to this. But as someone who takes medication and eats meat, it’s hard for me to criticize testing on animals without more to the story. Is there anything unusual about what they are doing? What drug are they testing? Maybe what they are doing is necessary.

The “article” comes off as a hit piece on Fauci. It’s lacking key facts to determine whether there’s a problem or not.
