Chloroformed them, chopped their heads off, then removed their hearts which was kept alive to measure whether 2 hamster stains with different circadian rhythms have different heart rates. First day we killed over 20 without able to successfully setup the heart and both of us felt horrible about that. But later on we typically able to get it right in 1 or 2 tries. Couple of times the hamster didn't get fully knocked out before we did the chopping made us felt awful too.

Heard a story that a Raider's player back in the 70's throw a $100 bill into a toilet. Teammate asked him what he did that for. He replied that he dropped $5 into the toilet. He wouldn't go fishing in the toilet for $5, but would do so for $100
