Wrong. This would be somewhat akin to the MSNBC complaints over the

Weekend that the jury got the Rittenhouse verdict wrong. No they didn’t. They did their job. You can disagree with it of course, but the legal answer is that Kyle Rittenhouse was Not Guilty, and a constructive conversation about how private citizens should or should not engage with protestors and rioters in the future does not rely on all participants to the discussion admitting that the jury was “wrong”, and Rittenhouse is guilty of murder. He is Not Guilty of murder, because courts make that call.

Courts decide if there was rampant illegality or unconstitutionality, and they found none. I would not insist that you abandon your opinion to participate in the discussion.

In fact the opposite is true - every party to a discussion regarding my first paragraph or my second should begin with “the decisions of the courts are to be respected”. Nobody has to “admit” the jury was wrong and Rittenhouse was guilty of murder.

Nobody has to admit that pandemic era voting measures were “rampantly illegal and unconstitutional” particularly in the absence of any such findings in court. If the idea were simply to find common ground on better securing future elections, the focus would be on the future, not the past.

In essence, certainly IMO, you just unwittingly admitted the true purpose of all this nonsense. The entire effort is geared towards destroying the last pres election, not securing future elections. Which is how you want it - those republican legislatures are setting themselves up to be able to deliver 11,000 fictitious votes the next time the cult leader calls up demanding them.
