…people aren’t “worried about” his killing. That was my point — there’s no sympathy for him. But no one is saying Rittenhouse or anyone else has the right to go around shooting criminals for sport because they deserve it based on past crimes or that Rittenhouse should have been acquitted just because he shot criminals.

He should have been — and was — acquitted because he shot people in self-defense, period. Their backgrounds had nothing to do with it. If I’m not mistaken, I don’t even think the defense was allowed to put the background of the deceased into evidence. The jury didn’t even know the guys was a convicted child molester — and that’s fine, as his past criminal history is irrelevant to Rittenhouse’s guilt or innocence.
