Sure we would. There'd still be spread, but deaths would be down to

flu like levels. The media would still hype covid, but people would move on. Was in NYC over the weekend. Upper east side is near 90% vaccinated. Life seemed pretty much back to normal.

For the last month, deaths per 100K in the US are right around 11. That works out to ~35K deaths per month, or 420K deaths per year. But if you look at data out of Virginia where they do a very good job tracking deaths by tax status, the death rate per 100K over the last month for unvaccinated people is 10x higher than for vaccinated people. So if everyone was vaccinated, we'd be looking at ~40K deaths per year, which IS like the flu. life would return to normal.
