the same time I was, or before (youngest just got her booster even). Bride and I both have said we're thankful we didn't have to make that decision you had to for young ones. Probably would still do it, but you can't blame someone that thinks "they're young, if they get it the risk is incredibly low, and while even lower for a risk from vaccine, why take the chance?" Same for 20/30 somethings, especially if they're considering getting pregnant, athletes, etc. My bride (like yours iirc) is an elementary teacher. She had 4 kids out last week with Covid (or a family member with Covid). They all quickly recovered.

As for Grandpa (and others), this is where the "a pandemic of the unvaccinated" crowd starts to lose me some more. I get that mentality, and completely understand why that would push someone to get vaccinated, but if Grandpa is vaccinated and you either wear a mask and/or social distance when around them, isn't he already mostly protected from hospitalization or worse if he gets it, regardless? Yes, the vaccine will apparently reduce the chance of your 11 yr old spreading it, or make the spread less dangerous, but we've certainly learned the vaccinated can still spread this stuff. But I should jab my kid and risk heart issues or hoo knows what down the road for that? Because you're trying to guilt or force me into doing that?
